Yes and No.
Your retainer will have the same color, but because of diffrences in the manufacture of the acrylics there may be some slight variation in color. Also, your computer screen may have something to do with some color diffrences.
The desgin will be recognizable as the design you choose, but will not be as exact as online. For example, there may be less or more polka dots than the one online. It depends on the size of your mouth, and other factors. Remember your retainer is handmade and custom built for your mouth. Here is an example.

Note: until we get the "submit directly to your doctor" button working these are the options you can use to show your Orthodontists how you want your retainer to look like

There are a couple of options to submit your design to your orthodontist. After you finish designing your retainer click the finish button, doing that will display the names of the colors you chose and the design you will get a couple of options:
1) You can print your design and give it to your orthodontists. Some browsers do this better than others, I suggest either Firefox or Safari.
2) You can email the link to your doctor.
3) You can save the design using your email address, and then can pull it up at the Orthodontists office if they have internet connection. Then the assistant/ doctor can write down the colors and design on your prescription. Click on theRetrieve saved designlink on the home page.
4) If you want real cool, you can use the "Share This" link and send a text to your with the link in it. And if you have a mobile phone like the iPhone you can pull it up on you phone and show the assistant what you want.
A couple of disclamers: RetainerDesigner.com is free for all to use, but your orthodontist may charge an extra fee for the design, you will just have to show them the design to see. Also if you doctor uses an external orthodontic lab they might not have the exact colors you chose, so have some alternative colors ready just incase. In future updates to the site: you will be able to submit your design directly to the doctor from RetainerDesigner.com, So check back often for site updates, and tell your friends!
Just looks type into google "orthodontist" and it will find an orthodontist near you. Call them up and tell them you need a retainer and if they offer any color and designs.
I'm sorry, but I have to have prescription from a dentist/orthodontist. Its kinda like a pharmacy needing a prescription from a doctor to fill an order.
